The Mobile Staff Productivity (MSP) project is an initiative under the QUT-Griffith University collaboration program.

In 2006, QUT and Griffith University received federal government funding to boost staff productivity through the increased use of mobile practices and technologies. The project commenced in 2007 with a focus on the people, policy, process and technology issues associated with the expansion of mobility at each university. Key elements of the project include:

  1. A research stream to analyse existing patterns of staff mobility, design a mobile productivity model, trial new mobile practices and technologies and conduct an evaluation of results;
  2. The development of a set of mobile worker profiles and, for each profile, a specific technology environment, series of productivity practices, support model and training package; and
  3. The development of a mobile workforce framework that is embedded in the policy, operational practices and strategic planning processes of both universities.
