Service areas involved in the implementation project
Teaching and Learning Support Services (TALSS)
TALSS are the business owners of the Learning Management System. They will be responsible for the service and the user aspects of the application once the system has been implemented and returns to operational management. Throughout the project, they play a major role in:
- Governance processes of the project,
- Faculty liaison and training,
- Migration of unit sites,
- Building Blocks development, and
- Change management.
Many members of the project team are also TALSS staff members.
Integrated Help Services (IHS)
IHS is involved in the project in terms of first tier support for QUT Blackboard. After the project has been handed over to operational management in 2008, IHS will continue in this role.
Other areas include Corporate Information Services (CIS) and Central System Services (CSS) in ITS.
