Copying of materials from databases and electronic book and journal collections to which the University Library subscribes (e.g. Proquest and ScienceDirect), is governed by licensing agreements between the University and the database provider. In general, under such agreements students or staff may print or save whatever items they need for their own study or research at QUT. You are not bound by the "fair dealing" limits.
Many copyright owners make their material openly available on the web for individuals to use. In many cases, they explicitly grant to viewers a licence to save and/or print the material for personal or educational use. Check the terms and conditions of websites to see what is permitted.
